About Me

I am a Reference and Instruction Librarian who holds the rank of Assistant Professor at Hunter College (CUNY).    I hold a MSLIS from Pratt Institute’s School of Information and Library Science as well as MA in Africana Studies from New York University’s Department of Social and Cultural Analysis (GSAS).

My research interest are an culmination of past experiences, socially, professionally, and educationally.  I am currently  researching  the ways that Governments work with marginalized and at-risk populations using technologies and services. Another project I am currently engaged in is looking at methods to improve student technological and digital competency/literacy as they come to institutions of higher learning. I  also have an interest in Scholarly Communication and is currently working dilligently to make a tangible , accessible  Scholarly Communication program for Faculty, Students and Staff at Hunter College.
